The National Council for Volunteering (Denmark)

The National Council for Volunteering was formed at 1st February 2018.
The Council has 12 members. The members are appointed/elected for the period 2018 - 2021.
The Council is a Government Institution financed from the Danish Finance Act. The Council advises the Minister of Social Affairs and the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) on volunteering in relation to social challenges.
The purpose of the Council is to contribute to the public debate on the voluntary sector’s role in the future development of the welfare society, including the sector’s cooperation with the public and private sectors.
